How the numbers are drawn
Main numbers and bonus numbers are drawn separately, each without repeats, and sorted for easy reading. Every possible combination is equally likely, which is also true of the official draws.

The odds are calculated directly from each game’s format: the number of ways to choose the main numbers multiplied by the number of ways to choose the bonus numbers. Mega Millions reduced its Mega Ball range from 25 to 24 numbers in April 2025, which is reflected here. Lottery operators change their rules from time to time, so check the official site before relying on a format.
Quick pick or your own numbers?
Neither has better odds. Every combination is equally likely to be drawn, however it was chosen. There is one practical difference: many people pick birthdays and other meaningful dates, so numbers from 1 to 31 are more popular. If those numbers come up you are more likely to share a jackpot, while a random set spread over the full range is less likely to match other players’ choices.
Custom mode
Custom mode draws any count of unique numbers from any range, with an optional bonus set, so it works for office sweepstakes, raffles numbered by ticket, or local draws with their own rules.
