About Fiddlepop

Free tools that just work — no accounts, no clutter, no catch.

Fiddlepop started from a simple annoyance: needing a quick calculator, a random-name generator, or five minutes to kill, and landing on a page buried under sign-up walls, autoplay video ads, and a cookie banner longer than the tool itself. This is the opposite of that.

Everything here — calculators, generators, quizzes, and games — runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type gets saved anywhere, there's no login, and there's no database on the other end collecting what you do. Close the tab and it's like you were never here.

It's one person building and maintaining this in spare time, not a company. New tools get added in small batches, existing ones get fixed when something's off, and the whole thing stays free to use. If a tool is missing that you wish existed, or something's acting up, the contact page goes straight to a real inbox that gets checked.

Each category — calculators, generators, quizzes, and games — is deliberately capped, and new additions get built one at a time rather than mass-produced to hit a number. A calculator here isn't a generic form with a label swapped in; it's built around the actual math a specific everyday problem needs, with a real explanation of that math underneath it. The same goes for the games: several have gone through a full rework after real testing showed they were either too easy or unfairly hard, because a game nobody wants to come back to isn't worth having on the site at all.

That deliberateness is the actual point of Fiddlepop, more than any individual tool. It's easy to find a calculator online; it's less common to find one built specifically to be fast, honest about its own limitations, and free of the sign-up walls and cookie-banner sprawl that made building this worth doing in the first place.
