How days are counted
The calculator counts calendar days from today to the date you pick, so tomorrow is 1 day away and a date one week from today is 7. A date in the past shows how many days ago it was. If another countdown shows one more day, it is usually because it counts both the start and end dates.
Dates use your device’s calendar, and the count isn’t affected by daylight saving changes because it counts whole days, not hours.

The leap year rule
A year is a leap year if it is divisible by 4, except century years, which must also be divisible by 400. So 2000 was a leap year and 1900 was not. Upcoming leap years: 2024, 2028, 2032, 2036, 2040.
